Hometown Holiday Celebration and Tree Lighting November 30, 2019

Join in the Festivities!

The Hometown Holiday Main Show will begin at 3:30 on Laurel Street, featuring local talent followed by the arrival of Santa and the magical lighting of the Downtown Tree. This is truly one of our most treasured events of the year Downtown.

Studio 360 Ballet Students

This is the first time Studio 360  has performed at our annual Events.  Young people have been practicing their steps to give you a taste of what talents we have in our youth. This year we will be treated to two holiday festive jazz dances. They are performing to “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) by  Michael Bublé and “Candy Cane Lane” by the Ella’s.  The dancers are Morgan Mitchell, Nacia Bohman (both seniors this year!) Emma Hunsaker, Brooklyn Johnson, Rhiannon Black, and Cayleigh Alward.

Studio 360 offers a wide range of class styles to challenge and satisfy their students, starting with our My Shadow & Me for 18 months - 2.5 year old’s all the way to adult ballet.  Check their website for future performance events https://www.danceatstudio360.net/

Peninsula College Jazz Ensemble

Soloist performing are: Chris Burt, Bee Wilkinson, Robbin Eaves, Stephen Kaufmann, Allie Winters, Claire Wegener. These students are a part of a larger group called Vocal Harmony. Vocal Harmony  is a performing ensemble at Peninsula College. This fall the group will present Jingle Jazz on December 12 at the Peninsula College Little Theater. The concert will not only feature the whole group of Singers, but three local professionals as special guest soloists: Buck Ellard, Sarah Shea, and Dawn Martin. Tickets can be bought on Brown Paper tickets. The group is directed by Elaine Gardner-Morales  and accompanied by Al Harris.

Hamilton Elementary Winter Choir

Hamilton Elementary Winter Choir has been a annual part of the Downtown Hometown Holiday Celebration for many years.  This year the Choir is led again by 2nd grade teacher Rachel Sullivan and 1st grade teacher Kara Grubbs, who unlocks the voices of this wonderful group of children from 3rd through 5th grade.  We appreciate the time they all took to practice and bring us music for the holiday season today.

To enjoy these children and other music, plan to attend the Annual Hamilton Winter Concert Tuesday, December 4th from 6:30 - 7:30 at Hamilton Elementary
